990fx and surround gaming

So I was perusing through some monitors to purchase with some well earned overtime pay so I can set up my surround gaming/GTX 680 but a quick google search and it seems that everybody is having issues setting up surround with a 990fx mobo. Does anybody have experience here about the issue at hand? The nvidia forums state that it is an AMD chipset issue which is very disheartening. I was hoping to at least enjoy 3 monitor surround with lowered details on that single card but now yea. Thanks guys in advance.

I had the same board with the 8150 CPU and I had an SLI setup of 680's and 670's and it seems to me that the cpu isn't the best for gaming and I was getting alot or bottlenecking. So what I did was got an 3770k and an Z77 and that seemed to clear up the problem for me because I was still within the 30 days. But I did notice with the AMD setup that if I stuck with a single 680 surround gaming was possible and ok but the moment I went SLI FPS went down. I hope that helps.
