im just curious if you put a dc brushless model BFB1012H on a heatsink, Will it actually keep my amd fx 8120 8 core processor cooler, than the stock fan that came with the processor?

here are my specs

MSI 890FXA-GD70 AM3+ AMD 890FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
AMD FX-8120 Zambezi 3.1GHz Socket AM3+ 125W Eight-Core Desktop Processor
EVGA SuperClocked GeForce GTX 550 Ti (Fermi) 1GB 192-bit
Patriot Extreme Performance 16GB DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
Rosewill LIGHTNING Series LIGHTNING-1000 1000W
APEVIA X-JUPITER S-Type X Full Tower
and several hardrives

Fans 1-250mm, 3-180mm, 1-120mm, amd fx 8120 stock fan
this rig runs very hot

Why don't you go for Liquid Cooling Instead... I t will serve you a lot better.

im sorry, i feel stupid for asking, i just dont want to attempt, and fry my cpu in the process, im wondering if someone has tried it, or knows the cooling power of the dc brushless fans, i havent attempted, the overclock, but my rig is built to do it, but i havent bought the liquid cooling system

i play alot of games, like skyrim, borderlands 2, diablo 3, etc... and this rig gets very hot and i have all the fans turn all the way up and still the cpu in the 50-55c range, i downclock the cpu from 3.1ghz to 2.8ghz and sometimes lower, just keep it in the 30 to 35c range.

So thats why i ask, can the DC brushless fan cool the amd fx 8120 better than the amd stock fan that came with the processor?

Well they are both probably made by Delta, the blower design fan will direct air better, you need to test them each to see which can cool the CPU better at different speeds.

though the blower fan is quite loud, but ill downclock the cpu and give it whirl, do you think its safe to try?
