FX 8 core or 2500k

Hi Friends,

I am planning to run at-least 10 vm ware with each running wow in it.
Wow will be running at lowest resolution like 800x600.
So every setting will be at lowest settings.
Now i will be running 16 GB of ram minimum, i have gtx460 graphic card as well.
So i am planning to choose a setup between 2500k or fx 8 core.

Please let me know which one will be better for this setup.

What i mean is that i want max number of vms.

If i have missed anything please let me know and i will post the information.

Regards.

More about core 2500k
  1. Edit replace 2500k with 3570k
  2. I'm sorry but it sounds to me like you want to be running 10 different windows of World of Warcraft on one computer and call it a server.... I don't think EITHER will do that...
  3. FX should be better to virtualize due to moar cores, but 10 vm running wow is a bit too much for a desktop processor
  4. Indeed. FX is better at multi tasking but 10 wow? Nop.
  5. I am going to run wow at minimum settings.
On my dual core E5200, i run 3 instances of wow and i am able to live it fine.
Remember i am running at lowest possible setting.
  6. E5200, 4gb ram, though overclocked to 3.75 GHZ.
If Fx 8 core and 3570 are not viable option what is next that i can go with that is not too much expensive.
  7. E5200, 3 instances (windows) of wow only and not any vmware.
  8. For $100 more you can get a 12-core server processor on Newegg.

  9. From those two definitely FX 8 core but the 8300-series, not 8100. I'm not sure it'll do what you want, though.
  10. LOL. this guy's a farmer and you guys are helping him?
  11. I didn't think it's illegal in any way?
  12. Using automated tools I think violates WoW's terms of service but it doesn't break any laws.
  13. TBH, I don't really care about WoW's ToS
