Hello,

I am trying to install my HP Wide Format Printer to my PC running on Windows Home Premium 7, 64 bit. As the software disc starts to load I get an error message "dot4_plugin.exe" is not working properly and then the whole software process shuts down. I have tried everything imaginable - anyone know about this problem and how to fix it?
By the way - I am not a technology expert. :)

Thanks,
Debbie

I would suggest you go to hp.com and download and install the drivers from there. You will need your model number. Go here:

http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-drivers.html

There may be a problem with your install disk. Downloading and installing the most current version HP has available should clear up the problem.

Good luck!

Hi Debbie

I had the same problem. I spent several hours on the phone to HP support and got nowhere. They even got their Indian support guys, who wrote the software, to contact me to no avail. In the end I took the printer back to Argos and got a refund and bought a Canon which works fine.

All the best

Barry
