Hi guys, this is my first build so I thought i'd run it by some people who know a 'little' bit more than myself. I'm more or less just looking to make sure everything is compatible, as I've spent the last couple of weeks compiling parts. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I'm going for a bit of a budget Gaming build that'll also be used to edit and record HD video. If anyone's curious i'll be taking the Hauppauge Colossus from my current computer and putting it in this one.

CPU: I2500K http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
Case: NZXT PHANTOM 410 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
MB: ASRock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
PSU: OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
GPU: XFX 1GB Radeon HD 6870 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
(Was planning on buying a second in the future and running crossfire.)
RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
CD Drive: LG DVD Burner http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
SSD: Corsair Nova Series 2 (Boot Drive For Windows 7 64-Bit) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Thanks,
PetTheCats.

That PSU is low quality. Get the XFX 550W for the same price. On a budget system, an SSD is a luxury, not a necessity. Put that $ into the GPU. That is where it truly counts in a gaming build.

I must have looked at the regular ModXStream, or the 700W version, lol.

I'll definitely go ahead and get rid of the SSD. As for the HDD I currently have selected, would you make any changes?

You have a job right? If so, 2 weeks pay should get you the SSD. :p
