Trouble with the graphic card. Final Cut doesn't open

When I try to open any secuence in Final Cut Pro, an advise pop with this text:

CODEC NOT FOUND. YOU MAY BE USING A COMPRESSION TYPE
WITHOUT HE CORRESPONDING HARDWARE CARD.

I think is the Nvidia GeForce 9400 Graphic Card that need to be re-installed.
Because two days ago, I cleaned up my iMac and by error some important data
could be deleted.
If this is the issue ¿ how can I recover that info? Do I need to reinstall the software?
Or it could be another solution ?
