  1. No, according to this, it's socket AM2.

Phenom II x4 is AM3(+), so you'll also need a new motherboard.
  2. Not the Phenom II. The regular AMD Phenom X4 9650 its AM2+ Google it
  3. Oh, my bad.

I don't believe an AM2+ CPU would fit on an AM2 motherboard. If it was the other way around, it would work.

It won't be much of an upgrade anyway. It's generations behind already.

It's an AM2+ board (which apparently will only use AM2+ CPU's), so it should work.

    AMD Phenom Quad-Core (A) 9xxx series (AM2+)
    AMD Phenom Triple-Core (T) 8xxx series (AM2+)
    AMD Athlon X4
    AMD Athlon X3
    AMD Athlon X2 (B) (AM2+)

That's what should work, and the X4 9650 falls into that category.

Also, any 95W AM2+ PII CPU's should work too.

    Thank you god bless you.
  7. You're welcome. :)
  8. I can't find any 95W AM2+ PII CPU's :( all of PII are am3
  9. Yeah, all of the AM2+ Phenom II's I can find are 125W. The 95W versions are around somewhere, though.
