My GPU is not being detected.

Hi there.

Normally pretty good with my PC stuff, but I recently upgraded from a 6970 to a 680. I uninstalled all AMD drivers and proceeded to take out the 6970 and put in the 680.

When I boot the PC, prior to my motherboard screen, I get a message saying GTX 680. However, when I boot the PC, it's not detecting. I've tried installing drivers and I am told I do not have compatible hardware for the drivers.

My PSU is a Thermaltake Toughpower Grand Modular 750w (seen here): http://thermaltakeusa.com/Product.aspx?C=1264&ID=1962

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Normally I'm able to figure these things out easily, and I've built a dozen PCs myself.

Note: My GPU has power. My fan is spinning just fine.

Can close. Solved it myself. Drivers downloaded fine whenever I attempted to update my Standard VGA drivers from my device manager. Really stupid and weird, but I'll take it!

Glad you solved it. Just for the future reference, always download drivers from nvidia website and never do it from device manager.

Yeah, that would work if I was able to download from the nvidia website. The website drivers were telling me I didn't have compatible hardware. Only device manager worked. Yes, it was stupid.
