event sounds

My sound scheme in Windows XP Pro used to play; now, it doesn't. I don't
recall changing anything, but, I must have tweaked something accidentally.
Please help me troubleshoot. Thanks!

Control Panel,, Sounds and Audio Devices, Sounds.

You can select it there.
