Processor / mobo compatibility

i just wanted to ask if the 3rd generation i7 3770k will work with a asus maximus iv extreme-z rog socket 1155 mobo ?? is this mobo only designed for 2nd generation processors ?? Thanks.

Check the Asus website for a BIOS update that says it enables support for Ivy Bridge. I would think it would.
