hello all i just finished a new build,

asus maximus 4 extreme mobo
intel-2600k
windows 7

and i cannot connect to the internet to update anything, i belive the reason is that when i go device manager under other devices i have 2 ethernet controllers. 2 usb controllers a pci controller and a sm bus controller all with the yellow exclamation mark on them and they appear to be missing. im not positive but i think if those ethernet controllers were working i would have no problem connecting to the web,

well and advice or comments are welcome, thanks all

Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

The motherboard should have come with a CD which includes all the necessary drivers. If it didn't, under the Properties of each of the ethernet controllers, click the Details tab and look at HardwareIDs then note the four characters which follow VEN for Vendor and the four after DEV for Device.

Input those in the appropriate boxes at http://www.pcidatabase.com and follow the links to the manufacturer's site for the right driver..

Once the system can go online, the other drivers will probably find themselves if you click Update Driver on each one.
