It can run Battlefield 3, COD MW3, SaintsRow 3, etc... Really? I have a 1366x768 display, should I buy a graphic card?

Thanx

More about intel graphics 4000
  1. If you want smooth frames, you'll have to run all of it on minimum settings. Maybe windowed 1280x720.
  2. yes, intel HD 4000 can run any game but with low setting or medium not high or ultra, you need to buy a decent card for those games..
  3. Intel HD 4000 is equal to a GeForce 220. It can run games but like others have said you will need to use low quality settings to play. If money is tight you could spend around $100 on a GPU and run the games on medium possibly even high with that resolution.
  4. Depends what quality settings you want
  5. if you want to run games well yeah HD 400 is enough... if you want to play (i.e have good fps and at more than the low graphics and details settings) then then get a decent GPU, even at your resolution..

A decent gpu well .. here is a starting list.. depending on your budget.

Thanks! I am not a hardcore gamer, I mostly play mmorpgs, would the intel HD graphics 4000 together with a 3rd generation i5 3317U take thoose games on the highest settings? Lets take Guild wars 2, Aion and WoW as examples. Thx ;D

    No, low to medium settings.

There you can see WoW on medium settings getting about 30-40 FPS. Guild Wars 2 is going to be more demanding than WoW, and I've never heard of that other game.
