Are there certain brands of 550 Ti or 560 that are better?

Even the SE version of the 560 is better than the 550ti. 288 cores vs. 192, at the least. Definitely get a GTX 560 SE.

The GTX 560 is a class above the 550 Ti so it is a lot faster.
If you are looking for something better than the reference model look for something with aftermarket cooling like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... (which has better cooling but is a bit slower).Although the GTX 560 you found is an incredible buy and i cant really find anything better than it at the same price.

I see that the min watt for the gpu is 450w

But what sort of PSU watts should I be looking at if I'm not intending to Overclock at all?
