Hey, I want to upgrade from dual Radeon HD 5870s because I've had problems with crossfire drivers... I get artifacts and tearing from playing games in fullscreen for more than 15 minutes, including minecraft and terraria... the problem goes away when using a single card though, I don't want any dual-gpu cards just cause, and I don't have much of a preference of ATI or NVidia, whichever is faster for the price and has a good cooler on it. I am looking for (a) card(s) with an aftermarket cooler that is quiet, I won't be overclocking it so just reduced noise is nice, my budget is around 300-900

My current setup is

Case: HAF 932
Motherboard: Gigabyte 1155 udr
CPU: i5 2500k
Cooler: Coolermaster Hyper 212+
GPU: 2x Radeon HD 5870 (only running 1 for stability, having 2 bsod'd because of drivers)
PSU: OCZ ZX Gold Series 1250 watt
Monitor: Samsung SyncMaster XL2370 23" Max res. 1920x1080

if its in your budget then the 670...

also anyone here have any news on AMDs price cuts? They have to happen rt? else the 670 will make everything from a 7870 redundant.

Which aftermarket cooler should I use with it? And sure i'll try SLI, is it worth it? I mean will I get a needed performance boost in today's games? Metro 2033 or whatever the most graphics intensive game there is out there
