Display problems

Ok guys I have a problem. I tried moving my tower the other day and ever since when I turn on my computer the display comes on but its all green but i can still see the writing behind the green. Now I'm using a ATI 5450 1gb and HDMI cable going to my 40" HDTV. When I wiggle the HDMI cable it clears up but as soon as I let go of it, it goes right back to the distorted green screen. Any suggestions. Thanks

Which end of the cable is causing the problem, the GPU output or the video monitor (TV) end. It sounds like you broke a wire loose at the connector to the GPU or the TV.

Yeah, it sounds like you broke a wire on the HDMI output. Do you think you could take the Video card to a good computer tech and have them resolder it in place?

I think it would b cheaper to buy a new gpu. Cuz where I live all the computer techs are rip off artist. Lol. Thats why i asked if anybody knew where I could get a DDR5 GPU for around $75.
