Pc turns on for a few seconds

Hello,

I just recently installed a new video card and ram. I used to have a 1 gb nvidia 520 and i recently upgraded to a amd 7770 saphire. im thinking maybe its the power supply but it cant be because it says 450 w for the graphics card and my power supply is 620 w?

OS: Windows 7 64 bit
Chassis: Cooler Master CM Storm Scout Mid towe
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-H61M-S2PV
Graphics Card: AMD 7770 HD Saphire
Processor: Intel Core i7 3770 CPU 3.4ghz
Memory: 8 gb
PSU: ATX 620W PSU

did you jostle the H/S Fan when installing your new bits? Sounds like a CPU overheat possibly... If it tries to post then shuts down it is trying to protect the CPU from popping...

when i put in the new graphics and ram it was working perfect for a couple of days, then all of a sudden it keeps trying to post then shuts down. :(  could it be the hs fan or the power supply?

The video card is not a huge power drain at all, I would test your ram one at a time in each slot... Could be bad ram.

If you can get into the bios check PC health status for CPU temps...

Re-seat everything too at some point. (by that I mean take the GFX card and ram out and re-fit them to ensure they are slotted in securely...)
