590 quad sli with 480 physics

Hey guys/gals, Im thinking searching ebay for a couple 590s on the cheep anyone running 2x 590 and can you tell about performance in bf3 , metro, other fps.Im running 2x 480 im thinking if i can find 2 590s for like 400 each ill be in there.. :hello:

Good luck finding a 590 for $400. I just sold one a month ago on ebay Buy It Now for $600 + shipping.

Using GTX 480 for physics would be stupid. GTX 590s on their own will handle it without ANY problems.

Ok, wasnt sure if the xtr card would help or not..Is there any presidence?Why would it not help?

Because having extra card in your PCIe slot reduces bandwidth of other cards. More than likely, this reduction would be greater than the gain.

Got ya,SO do you think that the sound card i have in the bottom pcie slot will affect my total? im running the asus 2011 ws with the extra molex board connector for extra pcie power.plannaing on sli 590 s witht hat sound card its the recon xfi.

why not get a 680 instead of 590?

590 s faster and cheeper try finding a 680 w water block for 460 bucks..

Shouldn't. The reduction mainly comes from the fact that the cards must communicate with each other.

Nice so a ocz 1250 be ok to run these ill assume im running 2x480 atm and it doesnt flintch.. I read something about these cards pulling to much juice so they under clock them is there any truth to this rumor?
