Budget gaming pc build - need opinions

So I have a friend who wants to upgrade his computer so he can run modern games, he has a tight budget of $300 and this is what he plans to purchase:

Gigabyte GeForce GT 630 2GB
ASRock 880GM-LE FX Motherboard
AMD Phenom II X4 945
G.Skill F3-10600CL9D-8GBNT (2x4GB) DDR3

I/he would like to know how this upgrade could run modern games like:
Battlefield 3
Diablo 3
Strategy games
etc.

Any other opinions and advice would be super helpful

seems good, but if he could, i would suggest throwing in a couple more bucks for a gt 640. there is a pretty good performance increase for the price.

your model seems like the one with ddr3 ram.
if you can afford, try to squeeze in a radeon hd 6670 1 gb gddr5 or radeon hd 7750 1 gb gddr5 or radeon hd 6770 1 gb gddr5. all those should be better than gt630.
