Upgrading ati radeon x1300 on old dell e521, need advice!

CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5600+
GPU: ATI Radeon x1300 pro 256mb PCI Express x16
Chipset: Geforce 6150
Southbridge: nForce 410/430 MCP (what ever this means ) lol
Memory: 3GB DDR2
OS: Windows Vista 32bit
Resolution: 720p

My computer is a dell dimension e521, i believe it has a 305w power supply.

I'm looking to upgrade the gpu as it is awful, the main purpose of upgrading is to play diablo 3 on decent settings.

I don't really want to spend more than £40 if possible.

I was looking at ATI Radeon 5450 HD but it says 500w is the recommended power required :( is it cheap to upgrade the psu or is it ok to keep the current psu?

If not please recommend me some graphics card or advice!

Thanks!

  1. Don't know how well the 5450 would play your game of choice
Do know that you don't need a psu upgrade for it or any card that doesn't require external power

Here are the system reqs for the game :

I also found this graphics card -

I hear this will run it decently.. but tbh i'm as unsure as you. I don't think you need a powerful graphics card for diablo 3 as it isn't that demanding.

    Also thanks, that's a relief!

  4. I'm not unsure, I have no idea
The reccomended cards are much more powerful than what you are looking at and would require a psu upgrade
