No post/No video out/No beeps

Hey guys.

I just installed some water cooling onto my build and after putting everything back together, it won't post.

I've tried:
- Resetting the CMOS with the battery
- Swapping RAM sticks out
- Power cycling
- Reseating the CPU

The system turns on, LEDs, fans, GPU, Pump, Mobo lights turn on but nothing will out put to my monitor. My monitor is 100% non-faulty as I tested it with my laptop.

It can't be the GPU since the fan starts and cannot be the mobo since it definitely turns on since the lights come on.

It might be something with the power supply though since I used the paper clip trick to test for leakage. However, no one near me has an extra PSU to give me to help me test.

Also, there seems to be no beeps.

Could anyone help me?

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE
Mobo: MSI 870A-G54
GPU: NVIDIA GTX 460 768 MB
PSU: XFX XXX Edition 650W Bronze Certified
Watercooling: XSPC Rasa 750 kit
Case: CM Storm Scout

did you forget to plug the 2 power cables on the graphic card or on the motherboard 12v atx

Outside of a laboratory environment there is no way to diagnose problems like this except to swap out components with known good ones.

No I didn't forget.
I also plugged in both mobo power lines.

@ram1009: I have an extra mobo but it's VERY old and does not have two PCI power cords.

EDIT: CD drive doesn't seem to open at the start or receive power. I'm thinking it's the PSU.

if you have a old pci-e graphic card in that old one try her to see if it is not the gtx 460 that stop system

Ugh that's frustrating.. my brother took the GT 9800.

Now I really think it's the PSU. The CD Drive is plugged into the PSU but doesn't work.

Yeah, do the paper clip test one more time and try the cd drive again (also if you have any fans or anything else that plugs into the psu besides the hdds try those and see if they properly power on.)

Fans work, LEDs work, GPU spins, pump works.

Maybe the PSU isn't having enough surge power?

this is a modular one seen you got 4 pci-e connector try to interchange with the other and look if you did not pull them off from the psu when the water cooling was install

Just took out the CPU and waterblock.
No beeps coming from the mobo. So can we assume it's the motherboard?

the cpu is am2+ could you try it on another system to see if it work

I only have another one running on an Intel CPU so no.

you will have to find someone who use that amd board to be able to test the cpu or your motherboard,also could you try that gtx in the intel system

Either that or buy a psu from best buy and if that doesn't work take it back if you can, or just return the mobo/psu one at a time to see what the problem was.
