Hi Guys,

I recently bought a new monitor so that I have 3 22inch screens.

My problem-- I can't get the 3rd monitor to enable.

I am currently using a HIS Radeon HD 6970 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161356

I currently have my two DVI cables plugged into my two DVI ports and also a DVI to HDMI cable linked to the HDMI port.

Now I had read that you have to get some sort of converter to mini display port so I bought a HDMI to mini display port converter.

I tried that and still no luck.

Will the DVI to (cable) HDMI to (converter) MDP not work? I don't want to completely not use my DVI to HDMI cable since it has the longest cord to reach my desktop.

Should I return my HDMI to MDP converter and get a DVI to MDP converter instead and just use HDMI and leave a DVI port un-used?

The HDMI & the DVI-S will not work simultaneously by design (unless you have the Sapphire Flex). You need the DP for the 3rd monitor & you need display port adaptors as stated in earlier posts.

Yes, it is an option so you can use your HDMI to DVI cable.
