I would like to know wich one is better and why

Dont tell me to go for a 6870 I CAN'T I cant pay even 5$ more. It really is best I can get and I can't wait because my gtx 260 is dead R.I.P

Thank you

I will bet you got a lot of good usage out of that card. Anyway both cards are so close in what they can do the 6850 shines on some things better and the 7770 shines better as well.

If it were me I would go with the 7770. For one reason it draws less watts then the 6850 so not to stress your PSU and You might not have to upgrade your PSU with as you might with the 6850.

So here is a bench mark the 6850 vs 7770. I hope this helps and good luck to you.

Thanks for your reply

This is what i tought too but then I wondered if the 6850 wich apparently overclocks really well would give a big increase of the stock clocks wich would give it the edge? (I saw the the factory OC on the 7770 is the maximum oc you can get on that card)

Well it looks like you answered your own question. And If you feel good about it then get it. Either card is a lot better than the last one you have so either card is a win win thing for you.

The Bench mark I linked you to is not the OC ones so there are differences. But the 6850 is a nice card. Good luck to you.

6850 I say , if the psu could handle the 260 the 6850 will be a breeze, amd since theyy perform the same get whatever is cheaper but after seeing reviews clearly showing better quality graphics on the 6 seriees im left to wonder what really is the better deal and from all I have read they both can overclock worthwhile amunts so ultimately get whatever is cheapest ...if it were me I'd take the 6850
