So the time has come for me to build a new computer. I haven't PC gamed for awhile now due to school, but now that I am out and have some disposable income here is what I am thinking:

Memory Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 $189.99
Hard Drive Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM $94.99
Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM $94.99
Crucial M4 64GB 2.5" SSD $84.99
Video Card EVGA GeForce GTX 570 1.25GB $254.99
Case Corsair Vengeance C70 (Black) ATX Mid Tower $137.84
Power Supply Corsair 750W ATX12V / EPS12V $130.98
Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Full (32/64-bit) $164.95

Change to the much cheaper Z77 Extreme4 or Pro3. You won't get the benefits of IB with a Z68 board.

And that is why I posted this here! Thanks for the imput. Is there anything else that stands out that I might be going overboard with or overlooking?

I haven't ever played around with radeon cards aside from laptop builds when I was going overseas. I haven't really been very impressed with radeon in the past, is this a dated feeling I have about these cards?

It is easy. Just increase the clock multiplier by .1x and see if the system boots at stock voltage. Once it does, you can up the voltage little by little. Then, use Prime95 to stability check the temps.

If your not overclocking dont get unlocked CPU... you can save $30 if you dont... im no master at OCing.... use Prime 95 like how Azeem says and get CPU-Z and Core Temp
