I'm running an i7 3770k @ 4.4ghz with a darkrock extreme c1 cooler.
When i first installed the cooler and started overclocking, my max core temp didn't go above 71c° while stress testing, but now (a month later) i ran prime95 again and my average temp was 72c° and max temp 77c°, is this something i should worry about?
I think this may have something to do with the fact that i applied the thermal paste very poorly (i just layed an X on the chip), but before i take it appart again and re-apply the paste i want to be somewhat sure that that's the problem.
