Galaxy GTX570 732MHz, 3.8Ghz $239
Gigabyte GTX560Ti 448 $259 regular price,probs go down to $229 soon
XFX 6950 $229
Various 7850s $259 regular price, also down to $229 soon
Since they are all about the same price, which one do you recommend I get? I know the geforces have 1.2Gb which is not as future proof as the 2gb 6940 or 7850. However, which ones are better stock and which ones perform better when OCed?
If all of them are stock, what is the hierarchy of fastness between these cards?
Oh yes, I bought an IB, if PCI 3.0 ever factors into this discussion
Also, another thing to take into consideration is that when I look for deals on a certain card, eg a 6950, I get the cheapest one no matter which dealer it came from (except powercolour), is that a bad way to go about things? I mean why pay $50 more for a card with a super cooler if you not gonna overclock like a boss?
Here is a hierarchy chart so you can see where cards are on the list. As for pci-e 3.0 you need three components to be Pci-e 3.0 and that is the motherboard , cpu and the video card. Of the cards that you listed the 7850 has the most potential. It can overclock very high and it's Pci-e 3.0 , however I have heard some complaints about the card but I don't know if it's enough to keep from getting it , sometimes problems can be user initiated.
The GTX 570 would be a very godd choice as the next in line , the drivers are great and stable and the card is a very good performer.
+1 for gtx 570 for that price its an very good card.
the hd 7850 is also not bad its an very good card overclocking is superb uses less power low in noise low in heat just the fact is that the driver isnt that good but as the time goes the driver issues are fixed.
for example look at this card its an factory oced with good cooling nice overclocking ability.
it got 5 out of 5 eggs only few customers only complaint about driver and all other are fine with it but who has that problem they also give it 5 eggs in feedbacks the driver issues is comman with amd but all the time it has been fixed after some time the newer cards aare having that problem its comman.
