Hello, i`m going to upgrade my pc this christmas, and i need good PSU to power my High-End System. I want to ask what`s better choice in terms of quality and performance between AEROCOOL STRIKE X 1100W 80 PLUS GOLD MODULAR and CORSAIR-TX 850W ( THEY HAS THE SAME PRICE).

My system spces:
i7-3770K 3.9Ghz (4.2Ghz with OC GenieII)
MSI N680 Lightning
MSI z77 MPower
G.Skill Sniper 1866MHz Cl9 8GB
PSU????
CASE CM Storm Trooper
HDD WD Caviar Black 500GB
SSD OCZ Vertex 3 120GB

I want to ask what the best for my between that PSU`s ?

P.S.(Maybe in future i can SLI but its inporbable)

Is the TX the V2 or normal one? Try give an exact model number.

But I am wondering why you are getting an I7 instead of an I5 3570K?
Will you be using anything other than gaming on this build?
Because if you don't I would suggest rather getting an I5 and a better SSD with the extra cash.

Even though the Aerocool is 80 Plus Gold certified it's made by Andyson and I would avoid it. Unless you plan on adding a second GTX 680 you don't need anywhere near that much power. With a single GTX 680 a 550w unit would be fine.

I have the Tx850V2 powering a 975Be at 4.5GHz, two 6950's, two waterpumps and 29 fans with no problems,
I don't see you having any issues with one

The V2 is a lot better PSU, that's why I asked.

You do know there is a new version of the TX line now though right Moto? The TX V3 although it does not have V3 on it anywhere. The only way to tell is by model number. Corsair has gone with Chicony Power Technology ( HiPro ) and dropped Seasonic for the OEM for all the TX line. CWT made the TXM line and they have also been dropped for Chicony Power Technology. So both the TX and TXM lines are now made by the new OEM.

Early reviews on the jonnguru forums seem to show cheap Chinese made capacitors and not the high quality Japanese caps found in all good power supplies. Real reviews should be out by the end of the month and until I see them I am holding off on recommending those 2 lines. Hopefully Corsair does not blow it by trying to go cheap.

I was unaware of the change Nort so thanks for the headsup, I use JG reviews myself so I'm sure I would've come across it sooner or later hehe
but between a V2 and the Aerocool, it has to be the Corsair in my eyes, the Aero name just brings images of cheap to mind :p
