Hi there..

i go to the nvidia site

I download the driver v296.10
i extract the file and open it and i get the error below:

"Nvidia Display driver v296.10 - English Package: Error" ( in the Bar)
and the error is "Non 7-zip archive" (in the window)

can you please tell me how to do that for XP Pro? Ive looked on google and found a guide telling me this:

Click Start, Run and type Regedit.exe
Navigate to the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion \ Winlogon \ SpecialAccounts \ UserList

Use the File, Export option to backup the key
Create a new DWORD Value named Administrator
Double-click Administrator, and set 1 as its data
Exit the Registry Editor.

but i dont get it tells you to exit afterwards...... nothing happens

The drivers from the Nvidia site are usually .exe files so there shouldn't be any need to extract anything, just double clck the file you have downloaded.
