So far I have this,

If link doesn't work:

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL

ASUS P8H61-M LX PLUS (REV 3.0) LGA 1155 Intel H61 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

Not sure what I should add to this, as well as I'm not sure what kind of micro atx power supply could fuel this system? Any insight would be helpful this will be my first build ever.

Hmm if this is the case u are referring to
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811352007
it's actually an ATX case - do u mean to have an mATX case perhaps? For those there are compact LAN party type casings which could house standard ATX form factor PSUs and mATX mobos ^^ Actually i specialize more in SFFs/mATX rigs these days

I suggest a stock build with possibly an i5 3450 and a H77 mATX board with USB/SATA 3? Stock clocks Ivy runs nice and cool :p Things to look out for

1. Length of PSU and so size of PSU fan could be a factor in some compact case
2. Better not to skimp on PSU and make a quality one time investment which would possibly see many a GPU upgrade? I suggest a quality 550-650W 80+ bronze PSU for single GPU configs
3. Length of GPU - just like #1
4. For OCing - height of after market HSF
