I5 3470 temp

hi, i have the new mentioned CPU + ZALMAN 7000V Al SI EDITION COOLING. i also have 2 120 mm case fans.

when i run prime95 stress test after about 30min the package temp reaches 74-75C and stays there for an hour.

my idle temps are 35-40. i checked the intel website and the CPU TCASE is 67.4C so im a bit worried.

what should i do?

It is normal for prime to go hot, will not go that high under normal load which is what matters.

but is it normal for prime95 + cheap/stock cooling?

well i only installed MAX PAYNE 3 and i run it at max everthing + filtering and it reaches 63C max.
but most of the processing is done by GPU, i don't normally edit videos/encoding.

That is a little high so I would recheck the cooler install.

it's a new system and i checked it about a week ago, didn't see any problems.
what are the temp ranges for 3470 on load (like MAX PAYNE 3 FULL DETAIL)?

Nothing I play on my 3570K goes over 55°C with CM Hyper 212+
