Hi all, I'm looking to replace my old 19" monitor with a new 24". Does anyone recommend a good monitor for viewing and editing pictures? I'm looking at Dell's U2410 and Asus's PA246Q. the Asus monitor is described as "ProArt Series Professional Monitor". It says it has 98% coverage of Adobe RGB, 100% coverage of sRGB and 102% coverage of NTSC where as the Dell only has 96% coverage of Adobe RGB and 72% of NTSC. the Asus monitor also says "its built-in internal 12-bit Look-up Table can produce greater depth for each RGB colors than 8-bit Look-up Table in conventional monitors. Resulting in smooth gradation and accurate color resolution". The dell monitor says it has internal processing of 12 bits. I'm not sure if its the same thing. would you say these specs make the Asus monitor good for viewing pictures and better than the Dell? if you don't know these answers, then maybe you can tell me what makes a monitor good for pictures? Any help you can give me would be great. thanks
