So what is the deal with PC1066 and PC1200 RDRAM? Also the 32-bit and 64-bit RIMMS? The theoretical performance of a 64-bit PC1200 RDRAM would blow current PC2100 DDR-SDRAM away although actual performance is usually always a different story. I saw a news story about Rambus announcing these products but no real release or pricing information other than 2002 and beyond. Anyone heard anything about these memory products or where to find current information?

Too little, too late? Cool. So how much sooner should SDRAM meet or exceed the theoretical bandwidth of 64-bit 1200MHz RDRAM?

QDR will come out in a year or 2, let us see what limit that will have. And then there's always stuff that will come out w/ the HTMT project....

So far its basically vaporware, although RDRAM1066 *seems* not to be far away. But I heard there were still some yield issues with RD800 - so I wonder about the price of RD1066...

64Bit RDRAM is quite far away.
