Best Processor for my Motherboard

Ok so i already bought my new rig so i decided to give my old one to my brother . But i want to buy a new proc first for the mobo then i'll give the build. The Motherboard is GA-MA74GM-S2 (rev. 4.1) . If you can recommend a quad core thats compatible with my motherboard then it'll help a lot . Thanks in advance

The best quad core you can put on your board is an Phenom ii x4 975.

The best quad core is a Phenom ii x6 1100T

Google is so great. Pick whatever processor you want, the cpu compatibilty list lists every AM2/AM2+/AM3 processor going except the newer AM3+ FX's. The Phenom II 955/965 BE are worth a peek.

Goto http://www.gigabyte.com and use the search box in the upper left corner. Type in model number GA-MA74GM-S2 and then find the version number that matches your mobo. There will be a CPU support list button on the right side of the sceren. That will tell you what CPU's the mobo supports.

both of them is not supported by my mobo

Yes they are compatible, the black edition CPUs might not but the 975, 955 and 965 are supported with a bios update.
