Radeon GPU on a Intel Board?

so im planning to get a Radeon XFX 6950 for my PC.
Now i have a GT 520 GPU.

My specs;

i5-2320 3Ghz
Mobo is ASUS P8H61-M PRO
8 GB RAM

so can i put a Radeon GPU in a Intel PC?

Yes you can, as long as the motherboard has PCIE 2.0 X16 slot you can put any card. AMD is just a manufacturer of GPUs it has nothing to do with the main platforms.
