Thoughts on the Intel Pentium G860?

Last response: in CPUs

I'm planning on getting the Intel Pentium G860 for my budget build. Does anyone have any personal experience with this processor? If so... what games can it run? Also, i'm getting the EVGA geforce GTX 550 ti 1GB... will this CPU bottleneck the graphics card? And if it does... what CPU do you guys recommend that's under 100$ that wouldn't bottleneck it.

They are good budget parts and will work well together.

This is true, but OP get the Radeon HD 7750 or 7770 unless you have a specific reason for NVidia.

7750: http://www.amazon.com/Sapphire-Radeon-PCI-Express-Graph...

7770: http://www.amazon.com/Sapphire-Radeon-PCI-Express-Graph...

They use less power than the 550ti and perform the same.

Power usage in-game: http://media.bestofmicro.com/T/B/326351/original/load%2...

But besides that, the Pentium is a great budget chip.

Not sure what the benchmarks mean... What does AA and x4 AA mean?
