Thoughts on the Intel Pentium G860?
derek1214
I'm planning on getting the Intel Pentium G860 for my budget build. Does anyone have any personal experience with this processor? If so... what games can it run? Also, i'm getting the EVGA geforce GTX 550 ti 1GB... will this CPU bottleneck the graphics card? And if it does... what CPU do you guys recommend that's under 100$ that wouldn't bottleneck it.

This is true, but OP get the Radeon HD 7750 or 7770 unless you have a specific reason for NVidia.
7750: http://www.amazon.com/Sapphire-Radeon-PCI-Express-Graphics-11202-00-20G/dp/B007B5V614/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1353294543&sr=8-1&keywords=7750
7770: http://www.amazon.com/Sapphire-Radeon-PCI-Express-Graphics-11201-17-20G/dp/B00A0HZOEA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1353294555&sr=8-1&keywords=7770
They use less power than the 550ti and perform the same.

But besides that, the Pentium is a great budget chip. -

Not sure what the benchmarks mean... What does AA and x4 AA mean? -

Settings used to soften polygon lines, which make performance worse, but make the game look better.

All I'm saying is, the Radeon 7750 and 7770 are more power efficient, cheaper, and deliver the same performance. There isn't any reason to get the 550ti over them.
