broken soundblaster live card

hi there, i have a soundblaster live card in my comp. and the connector from that to my amp had a broken right plug, and so i replaced it whilst my machine was on. when i done that, there was no sound coming from my computer. i then restarded my computer, and played a song and i received a message saying winamp is trying to use an id not recognized by the system.

any thoughts? have i fried it??

I would bet that's then end of that card.
