Changing graphics card

Hello,
hi i have
intel e8400
m board- gigaby ep45ud3p
2*2gb kingston ram
and ati aus dark knight 1 gb rphics card

i would like to upgrade just the graphics card and ram but not the processor . what will be my best options for graphics card ? will my core 2 duo make the game run slow and give poor performance for the latest games

you can get hd 6770,hd 6850,gtx 460,gts 450,hd 6670.

what psu do you have?
