Computer shutting down

my acer aspire keeps shutting especially when i am watching a movie or using convertx todvd software could you tell me whats the problem

Your CPU is over heating and i'm guessing the vents and fan are clogged with dust and dirt.

Purchase a can of compressed air and blow out all the vents at the rear, underneath and on the sides. You can even try blowing into the vents with your mouth to clear any dirt if its urgent and then test again, but ultimately you will need to buy that can of compressed to do a good job.
