If you are going to get a graphics card now don't hope it's going to be released any soon . But if you would wait until the end of the 2012 or early 2013, it should be worth waiting .

Ehh you can get GTX 670s pretty easy, and SLI 670s are only a few percent weaker than a 690 while being much cheaper (and available).

Instead of the 680, you can get 670. It is not that much slower:

When did you hear that? They haven't even put GK110 on Tesla GPU, and it is really likely that they will release the 685/780 after the release of Tesla GK110 GPUs.

The big kepler has been released already, but as a Tesla card as you can check at Tom's report from the nvidia's latest conference. I don't see why nvidia would release anything more powerful than the 680/690 at least until a year for now, but one never knows.

The tesla K10 which is already released is GK104. The Tesla I'm talking about is K20 which is planned on Q4 2012.
