Hello guys,

I'm currently planning to make a new built, with an estimated budget of 900 euros (living in France). This is what I've done for now :

- Intel i5 3450
- Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 Pro
- Radeon HD 7870 (Asus Direct CU II v2)
- Gigabyte ga-h77-ds3h
- Samsung 830 - 64 GO (SSD)
- Seagate Barracuda 500 GO (7200)
- Corsair Carbide 400R
- CD Reader : Samsung SH222/BB
- Memory : I don't really know wich one is the better :
--- Crucial Ballistix Sport (Crucial says it is compatible with motherboard : http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/mpartspecs.aspx?mtbpoid=7DCA337AA5CA7304)
-- Kingston Kingston ValueRAM 8 Go (2x 4Go) DDR3 1333 MHz (It seems it is compatible with motherboard).

Basically I think the build is mainly ok and in my budget. What I don't want (and I won't) to do is to overclock, that's why I hadn't choose a k CPU and a Z77 motherboard. The SSD cost still a lot so I choose the 64 GO, a so-so between having a real SSD with big storage or nothing.
The box is, from the tests I read, good for noise and temperature, and can (that's important ^^) welcome the 7870 GPU and the Arctic Cooling.

The 7870 will be used for a 23' screen.
So if you can help me with the RAM or just valid/invalid the pieces I will thank you for that.

Thanks in advance for your answers :)

if you can get a 7870, get a gtx 670. id recommend the asus directcu2 version

for the motherboard, id get a msi h77ma-g43 instead. if you cant find it, the one you have is decent

i dont see the point of the 64gb ssd when you can get the 128gb for not much more. in the UK, the samsung 830 is 76 pounds i think

id get the crucial ram

skip the freezer. you wont be needing it much. the stock cooler is decent. if you would like it to be more quiet, id get a hyper 212 evo instead

if you are to get a gtx670, id get a xfx 550w power supply instead of the antec one. xfx power supplies come from seasonic so you know you are buying quality

For the 670, I can't. Thanks to price reduces the 7870 costs 260 euros while the first 670 comes with a cost of 460...

For the choice of SSD, I've reached my budget, and the 25 euros saved with the SSD allows me to go from 7850 to 7870. So no need to change the power supplies.

Ok for the RAM, for the freezer.

Also, does the case needs some extra "ventilator/fan" ?

Thanks :)

highly recommend the psu change. its more trusted and xfx has a great 5 year warranty on that product

if you cant fit the 670, then the 7870 is fine

id get the hyper 212 instead of the freezer

i really dont recommend 64gb for a SSD. they dont perform as well as the 128gb drives and they often cost more for the $/gb. if you cant get the samsung 830 128gb, at least get a crucial m4 128gb
