A few tips for a gaming build:

- Go for an Intel CPU, they dominate AMD at every budget point at the moment for gaming performance.

- Don't get too much RAM, gaming doesn't use much RAM. 4GB is fine, get 8GB if you want but any more than that would be a waste.

- Be sure to get a good graphics card. At this budget I'd aim for the HD 7850 2GB

heres my take on the system. you will have to use the SSD as a cache to set up intel smart response technology. smart response lets you enjoy almost the speed of a SSD while not costing as much

That PSU is overkill. 500W-550W will be cheaper and better. @cursed193, what games do you play? It can help us to more accurately chose parts. If you want to overclock, you'll have to get the i5-2500K, which is $205 at Amazon, and it overclocks, so it kills the i5-3550.

as i said: asus vs228h-p. its cheap (139.99 with free shipping), and has decent picture quality for the price. if you want it to be slightly bigger (id recommend not to), you can get a vs247h-p monitor. the major difference is that the 247h is 23.6inches big and is brighter than the 228h-p

CPU/Mobo combo: i5-3570k/Biostar TZ77B
GPU: MSI Twin Frozr 7850
PSU/RAM Combo: Corsair CX600/Corsair vengeance 8GB (2x 4GB) DDR3 1600
Case/HDD: Cooler Master Storm Enforcer/Samsung F3 1TB
Monitor: Acer 21.5' LED 1080P
ODD: ASUS 24X DVD Burner
Total: $978.90
MIR: $75

It's a little bit over, but it's a good build. If you want to stick strictly to your budget, I'd probably sacrifice on the case first. If you don't want to overclock then get a combo with a locked cpu. It's a shame that the prices of the 7850 seem to be going up the past few weeks, and the GTX 480 is no longer $200 on the egg.

Edit: sorry didn't add a keyboard/mouse. But things like the case, monitor, keyboard, and mouse have a lot to do with personal preference, so it's probably better for you to choose something you like and if you're not sure it's good just ask here and I'm sure someone will be glad to tell you what's wrong (or not wrong) with it.

Is there an other gaming case that has black inside and has a side panel window?

Is it really important for you to have a case with a side window?

a bitfenix shinobi has a window and is black inside

if you are just looking for a black interior case (honestly, you wont be seeing the hardware at all), a corsair carbide 300R would be fine.

in canada, we have a all black edition antec 302
