My mouse froze and doesn't work at all I use a Dell Inspiron N 5040. An external mouse works fine. The mouse works during start up. But the minute I get logged onto windows it freezes.I am wondering if it is an untraceable virus cuz I have installed the latest anti-virus run scans but to no avail. Please give suggestions.

Most likely you have a corrupted driver - the bad part of that is that most mouse drivers are generic so you won't be able to tell which is the problem driver easily. You can try updating all of your "HID-compliant mouse" drivers in the Device Manager under "Mice and other pointing devices", see if an update doesn't clear your issues.
