guys, i'm from malaysia..

I'm planning to build my own PC, this is the 1st time in more sophisticated era. My last built PC was on 2005.

What do you guys think?

Processor: i5-2500k or Ivy I5-3450
MOBO: P8Z68 – V LX or ASUS P8Z77-V LX
GCard: ASUS GTX550-TI TOP
RAM: CORSAIR 8GB 1600MHZ

If i5-2500K + P8Z68-V LX vs i5-3450+ P8z77-V LX, which one will perform better? Based on stock performance?

I am in doubt and don’t know which one I should choose between those two combination. For the graphic card, I prefer to use GTX550-Ti TOP which is cost me around USD170 in my country.
I5-2500K is around USD200 and i5-3450 is slightly expensive.

Both MOBO would cost me around USD120 z68 - USD135 z77..

So, what do you think?

Combination Sandy or Ivy?

Thanks,

Adam

Solution
I have had both and of the two I do prefer Asus. I currently have Gigabyte but that will change on the next upgrade back to Asus.
The i5-2500k is unlocked an can be overdclocked while the 3450 cannot so I would go with the 2500k. If the Sandy Bridge combination can save you some money the maybe you can get a better video card , the 550Ti is not very good for gaming and if you could get a 560 then it would be better.

Yes inzone, this is for gaming purpose.. but not heavy one. Is 550 is so inferior compare to 560?

How about the HD series? which one should be okay and in medium price? it look like saphire brand is a bit cheapre... 560 here in my place is expensive than i5-2500k..

How about the manufacturer of MOBO? should i choose Asus over Gigabyte? i cant find ASRock socket 1155 overhere.
