This is my first build. I want a gaming computer that can play games like Skyrim, Minecraft, TF2, and ArmA 2 on max settings, with very little to no lag. It will be used mainly for gaming, but I may also record videos on it in the future. Right now, I don't care about overclocking, but it's something I might do later on. One of my biggest fears is compatibility. I've heard some parts don't work with others, maybe the case isn't big enough, etc. I have a monitor, keyboard, and mouse so those aren't a problem. I want to keep it under $1k. Alright, enough, here's the specs:

no is the simple answer, your cpu wont fit that motherboard you need a z68 at least... an that processor is not for overclocking, the ones with the k after like 3570k are... an at present ivy bridge processors (intel) are beating anything amd has to offer

You are using intel processors with amd motherboards

they won't work together

you need motherboards with

h61 or h65 or p67 or z68 or b75 or z75 orz77 (i think i got them all) chipsets to work
