http://www.zotacusa.com/geforce-gt-545-zt-50801-10p.html

Do not listen to these above posters, if You blow the money for a 7000 series Radeon I will shoot You in the foot. I'm about to upgrade from the above linked card to a 6850, A SIXTY EIGHT FIFTY to triple my GPU processing power from the Nvidia 545.

I'm telling You right now that I use that 545 and will submit Screenshots if you do not believe me, and I play Warcraft not only on Ultra, but I play it on Ultra at 1920x1080 with the Graphics GPI macro's the macro's that tell the game engine to go beyond Ultra. I raid 25 man's, Dragon Soul Hard Mode with my guild and never come off 60 FPS while sitting at roughly 55-65 degrees C under full load.

Top this off with the cherry on top? Sure. I play Crysis 2 at 16xQAA and Mass Effect 3 at 32xAA and Tera Online at Ultra settings, everything on Ultra Crysis/ME, and this card handles it, little choppy on the 25-35 FPS with Crysis 2 under AA conditions, turn it off and it runs at 45 FPS solidly.

I'm telling You telling You telling You, as a gamer who built a rig to play WoW on Ultra, I use that GPU and have no problem with it what so ever. DO NOT BUY a $350 7000 series RADEON LIKE THESE TOOLS ARE TELLING YOU TO. Spend the $100 on the 545, I spent $70 on mine at CompUSA. Build it yourself, do it.

Another reason I'm being this adamant here is this. The 545 has 1.5gb of Memory on it, these above cards are all at 1GB. I'm telling You that I see my Memory get used, and under game load, idle above 70% meaning it's using over 1GB. I've seen people with 580 GTX's with 1GB on memory have low FPS and screen tearing, they replace the 580 with a 2GB 580, same GPU, and it all goes away. That memory matters immensely. Also, I looked at the costs of their 7700 cards and I flipped for a second thinking they were talking about the 78/7900's so it wasn't as bad as I thought, I assumed they were saying buy a $350 card to Play Wow. Still though, You can get this 545 for $70 if You shop around like I did at CompUSA, and it will do everything.

Tools? Seriously the 545 is a garbage card. If you are getting those kinda frames at those settings are you gaming on a 1024x768 monitor? The 6770 and 7770 are cheap low end decently performing cards. Check out the hierarchy chart on vid cards the 545 is 3 or 4 tiers under the 7770 and isnt much less.

Right, because video card speed depends on the amount of memory and playing at 800x600 is the way to go. Suuuuuuure!

Troll or what? Even posted the fact that I'm playing in 1080p.

There's no way you're dropping below 60 fps on WoW and playing Crysis 2 on ultra with that card at 1080p. My GTX 560 Ti is 2.5 times as powerful, however, in WoW at raids I drop to 40s, and I can't run crysis 2 maxed out without dropping below 30 fps. So yea.. You're the troll.

550 is fine bro, I've raided on a 5770 in Wrath and Cata, sure fps drops, but it's hardly unplayable. A constant 60 fps in an mmo is by no means necessary to enjoy the game.
I'm sure you'll run it fine on Ultra if you just turn down the Shadows graphics level to low or medium and run with 2 or 4 MSAA.

By the way, since he's your brother I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you borrowed the card for an hour to see if you like the performance before you paid him. You rarely get that kind of warranty when buying hardware!

I use the GPI Macro's as well thus the custom under ground clutter for instance. Included the desktop so You could see immediate useage/temps as well. Imo man if Your using a 560 GTX and having those issue You've got background running, the reason I pulled up Task Manager was to show that I run an entirely bare bones system, even more so during gaming. That's probably the edge and why a card 2.5x less powerful than yours is producing a better image. I also run with a quad core, this does help whether Your willing to admit it or not. I don't open my mouth without knowing what I'm talking about, and I would appreciate at the very least a respectful tone, this isn't a gamin forum bud. Look at Your system, figure it out. I play that high, with that FPS on my card, I'm not superman with a magic wand, You can too.

Are you trolling again? On those open settings you aren't at ultra. Texture resolution is set on fair, which is just above low on settings! (It goes low - fair - good - high - ultra). Texture filtering isn't maxed out either.

And no, I'm not running background processes. And what is GPI macros? I haven't ever heard of them, do they reduce graphics quality for better fps?

And this conversation is entirely over. You are entirely correct. My computer does not exist, it is a figment of my imagination.

Your entirely correct and Your graphics card is entirely superior to my imagined computer in every possible way.

I apologize for trying to save the OP $100 by keeping a card within his original budget. How dare I.

Enjoy.
