Which of these monitors to choose?

I'm trying to decide between two monitors:

1. ASUS VH236H 23in Widescreen LCD ($179.99)

2. ASUS VE247H 23.6in Widescreen LED LCD ($189.99)

I will be doing a mixture of gaming and work on my computer and would like to know which of these to get. I've seen some reviews on each and it looks to me that the VH236H has better ratings. Could anyone give me some substantial evidence or experience to prove which of these monitors would be the best?

Any particular reason why you chose that one? I know that it's LED LCD but I'm looking for a quality monitor regardless of LED.

yes it is worth getting an LED LCD panel over a plain LCD panel. It will last longer and provide a more vibrant picture
