Graphic cards suit wth 400w i ball psu

Which nvidia/ATI cards work without any problems with my i-ball 400w psu?
Somebody said that, it can't even handle gt 440 ? If is it true, what are the other card I can have?
My system specs
Intel core2due E7400 2.8GHz
Asus P5LOL-AM/PS
2 gb ddr2 RAM
NVIDIA 8400 GS 512mb

HD5670, HD6570 or even HD6670 would most likely run on that.

its not the best 400w PSU out there, more like a budget 400w that should never be pushed near 400w for hardware safety. AMD cards tend to be more efficient and better performers at the low end of the gaming spectrum so some cards to look at based on your budget (you don't post it)

I am confused among ATI HD5570,6570 and NVIDIA GT 440.
I like to play games like gta4,bf3,cod mw3,etc in low to medium settings. Which among these three is more good?
Any advice will be appreciated.
(My budget is 4000-5000 INR)

you can use a GT 440, and a Radeon HD 6670. Im running an Asus 6670 on a 380W psu just fine. Runs Battlefield 3 on high setting with Phenom II X4 3GHz 4GB RAM. The GT 440 would be about the same performance maybe a bit better.

the GT 440 is an increase from the ATI 5570. the ATI 5670 being an increase over the GT440 and the AMD 6670 being an increase over the ATI 5670. so in order of least performance to best

Which card will consume less power, NVIDIA gt 440 or ATI 6570?

I asked about gt.440 in shop, and they said that i should upgrade my PSU,

The 12 volt power is low with only 16amps (about right for a modern 250watt as stated above)! The HD6570 performs on level with the HD5670 and consumes less power.

Can I use a 6670 with my I ball 400w PSU? I checked the price of 5670
and 6670, they are almost equal. Does 6670 bottleneck my CPU?(core2due 2.8,Asus mobo,2gb ddr2 ram)
Also compatible with my PSU?
