I was thinking about getting the MSI 560 Ti Twin Frozr II OC, but then as the months went on, the Radeon 7000 series came out, and I saw that the Radeon 7850 is close to the price range of the 560 Ti. Now, my case is pretty small, does anyone know the dimensions (size) of the Sapphire Radeon 7850 GPU compared to the MSI 560 Ti Twin Frozr ( which one is smaller? )?

Also, the motherboard my PC comes with only has one single 2.0 PCI-E x16 slot, and no 3.0 slots. And I understand the 560 Ti asks for a 2.0 slot where as the 7850 asks for a 3.0 slot. Now obviously the different PCI-Ex16 slots are interchangeable, so that's not the question. The question is, how badly would this effect the 7850, would the fact I'd be using a 2.0 slot make the 560 ti twin frozr ii better since it's at its best with this slot?

Thanks for reading and hopefully responding!

I have the MSI 7850, I think it's smaller than the 560 Ti. I also think its faster, trades blows with GTX 570. As for the PCI-E 2.0 or 3.0.. It's just the amount of bandwidth the slot can handle. You won't be limited by the 2.0 with the 7850. I would say hands down get the 7850. That's just my 2 cents.

the dimension of sapphire 7850 is about..... 210(L)x105(W)x35(H) mm Size, and obviously there is no difference whether you're using pcie3 or pcie2 both are absolutely same. No drop in performance by using 7850 with pci-e 2.0.

Thanks for both of your responses, thanks to you guys I understand the 7850 is superior and performs about the same with a 2.0 Pci-Ex16 slot. And thanks xtreme5 for giving the dimensions of the sapphire 7850, if only I could find the dimensions of the MSI 560 ti twin frozr II OC to compare.
