Cost Conscious CAD System

I'm not a gamer or geek but looking to build an efficient computer for CAD applications, probably AutoCAD and or SolidWorks. Any suggestions/recomendations on CPU's, chipsets, graphics or vendors for built system greatly appreciated. I don't need all the bells and whistles but speed and robustness are a priority.

Just be prepared to spend as much on your graphics card as you will on all the other components combined. Even a top-of-the-line game card won't cut it.

Other than that, a single-processor Athlon 1.2-ghz/512 MB Ram,if you're on a tight budget.
