Internet not working both wired and wireless

I have just bought a new pc . company preinstalled it.

-Antec EA650 PSU
-Asus HD6950 DIRECTCU II 2GB DDR5 GPU
-INTEL CORE I5 2500K CPU
-GSKILL RIPJAWS X 8 GB RAM
-WESTERN DIGITAL 500GB BLACK 3.5" HDD
- Logitech G510 Gaming Keyboard
- Logitech MX518 Mouse
-TP-LINK TL-WN781N 1
NETWORK CARD ###Via PCIE SLOT
-ASUS P8P67 PRO Motherboard
-COOLERMASTER STORM ENFORCER Case

. .I have installed the tp link driver disk (even installed it again) ,scanned for the router and nothing is detected .
I have even tried plugging in my internet CAT 5e cable from the wall into the lan slot on motherboard and still nothing which works on my laptop (infact i am using that connection right now)
Please help.

the TP driver disk should not be necessary since Windows should have drivers for it. try uninstalling the TP software and have Windows control the card

Ok well it never worked out of the box anyway .So i dont unistalling will do much , but i will try this. i have installed lan drivers of mobo disc hasn't mad difference . is there any other reason why its stubbonly not letting use the net at all? like some sort of setting thats turned it off?cheers

are you using any kind of firewall on this computer? try turning off the firewall
