hi planetside 2 is bottleknecked by my cpu at around 20 fps, which is a real dissapointment, even on the ultimate lowest settings it's still at around 20 fps.

I saw this thread about disabling cores a while ago and im thinkimg maybe that could increase the fps

And if anyone knows where the thread is, not sure if it was on tomshardware or facepunch

I highly doubt that would work in this situation what are your system specs so i can figure out what might be going into the ground when you run that game.

Before trying disabling the cores, why don't you OVERCLOCK it ??? Running at stock doesn't make sense with a CPU with such an overclockability.

so does anyone know how to disable cores with the Crosshair V formula?

I only get the option of disabling copule cores per, not individual ones

Im not sure if its normal or not, but from my experience, I have a Asus M5A97 w a 8150 an a Saber R2.0 w a 8320, both are on the latest bios, when only using 2 ram sticks of 8GB I could only disable 2 cores at a time. Fill all 4 ram slots w 16GB an I was then able to shut down each core individually. I thought it was odd, but I have tested on both boards an got same results. Idk bout disabling for higher performance, never tried. With that board an cpu, though for increase OC it. Get a cooler. For best results with that chip, go for a H60-H100 depending on your case an you will notice an increase in performance. :sol:
